Our Indoor Space
At Buds to Blossoms Nursery in East Molesey, we believe young children flourish when they’re given plenty of space to play and fire their imagination. Our light, airy indoor setting reflects just this, with masses of space to socialise and play freely.
Just like our outdoor area, we’ve brought our ‘no walls’ approach indoors. Rather than separating children by age in different rooms, our setting comprises one large open space, encouraging children to mix, make friends and help and learn from one another.
Subtle, low divider walls indicate our play areas, including:
Baby Area - Seedlings
This soft, snuggly area has toys and activities perfectly designed to capture little ones’ curiosity.
Features include:
- Soft ball pit and low ‘climb and crawl’ frame – ideal for building balance and motor skills
- Sensory toys and games to stimulate sight, touch and sound
- Cosy blankets and seating for story time and songs
Our fully trained team spend time gently playing, singing nursery rhymes and reading with the babies, as well as giving perfectly timed feeds and changes.
Nap time takes place in our separate, soothing sleep room, complete with cots and calming sensory lighting to help babies drift off gently.
Toddler Area - Buds
Our spacious toddler area is all about playing, exploring and using that one-of-a-kind toddler energy! Designed with curious toddlers in mind, it contains a myriad of imaginative activities and games to encourage emotional and physical development.
Favourite activities include:
- Colouring, painting, shaping and sticking at our art and craft tables
- Dressing up in different costumes for fun pretend play sessions
- Rummaging and exploring new materials and sensations at the sensory tables – often focused on changing seasons and natural materials
- Relaxing with a page-turner in our reading corner
- Catching up with and making new friends at our mini tables
Every inch is packed with opportunities for learning through play, building confidence, coordination and communication skills along the way.
Pre-school Area - Blossoms
As children grow, so does their curiosity – and our pre-school area is ready to meet it head-on.
There’s something to satisfy everyone’s learning appetite, from phonics games to early maths to drama and storytelling, everything is play-based and purposefully planned to prepare them for primary school and beyond.
Here children can:
- Practise early writing and letter recognition
- Learn numbers, shapes and quantities through engaging subitising and counting games
- Dip into a variety of carefully chosen books that spark a life-long love of reading
- Join in imaginative play and storytelling in our creative corners
We pride ourselves on being at the edge of early years’ development and use innovative games and methods to support every child’s learning.
